Since everyone has their own story to tell, it always makes us proud when we're the ones photographing a chapter of that story.
With that in mind, we strive to show you not only for who you are; but, for the best version of you.
We are also always up for trying new things. If you have something specific that you would like to try, please feel free to let us know before scheduling.
REQUIREMENTS
PARENTAL SUPERVISION
We ask that all minors are accompanied by adults and are watched over throughout the course of the photo session.
CLOTHING SUGGESTIONS
Sometimes patterns work and then sometimes they don't. When it comes to your portraits, we generally ask for you to stay away from choosing clothes with really crazy patterns.
Clothing within a midtown range works well. Depending on the scene, clothes that are too light can get washed out. On the opposite side, clothes that are too dark can appear blocked up.
Outfit changes are permitted, however, we can't guarantee that the environment we are photographing in will provide an ample changing location. Should you want the option to change outfits, we suggest bringing a few options with you.
Please ensure that clothing is relatively clean, crease and / or wrinkle free.
PROPS
If you like, feel free to bring along any props which help showcase you. Instruments, sporting equipment, your favorite pet...these are all great things that help tell your story.
In case a prop you choose may need extra preparation, we ask that you let us know about intended props before scheduling.

LIGHTING
With people portraits, we almost always use some form of lighting. This is a big part as to how we are capable of producing the photographic quality which brought you here; but, this also takes time.
We suggest bringing a book, your phone, or anything that will help keep you entertained during waiting periods. We just ask that you don't overly exert yourself. While there are some scenario exceptions, we don't want you looking to sweaty in you pictures.
NATURAL LIGHTING
Like mentioned before, we prefer to light with our photography. However, there are occasions where Natural Light is the better choice for a certain scenario. Action Shots are an example of when we might choose to minimize lighting or just use Natural Light. A location which doesn't allow a bigger setup is another example.
LOCATIONS
We are currently open to photographing anywhere within driving distance. However, a mileage cost of $.60 per mile will be added to any shoots that are over 30 miles from Pekin, IL. Additionally, a drive time rate of $50 per hour will be added to any sessions that are over 1/2 Hr. from Pekin, IL.
ENVIRONMENTAL PORTRAITS
On location environmental portraiture is our primary focus with portrait photography.
We really enjoy photographing outdoors. We can shoot at various public or client provided outdoor locations of your choosing.
We are also highly skilled with shooting indoors and can shoot at various client provided indoor locations. This includes either your home or anywhere else where you've obtained permission.
STUDIO PORTRAITS
Provided that space is available, we can bring certain backgrounds with us to client provided indoor locations. A relatively open two stall garage is usually adequate for individuals to smaller groupings (2-5 people).
We also have studio space available to us on a rental basis. The rate for the studio rental is $45 Per Hr. with a 2 Hr. minimum.
DIRECTION
As mentioned before, we strive to capture you for who you are. That's why we start out each session with minimal direction and will only give direction on an as needed basis.
